Blogging Rules

September 9th, 2006 by 5/6P AllStars in Thinking · 10 Comments

Hello AllStars!

During the last week we have looked at a number of class blogs from around the world :)

Some of them we liked more than others:

  • some topics were more interesting to read about
  • some had more information such as links to interesting sites
  • some were written by kids and some by teachers
  • some used more pictures, photos and examples of work

We also talked about the sorts of rules we might need when blogging.

Which 5 rules do you think are most important?

Remember - rules should be short, positive and do-able!

Please add your ideas and thoughts and we will make a class list this week.

Maths / Art Design Booklet

August 23rd, 2006 by 5/6P AllStars in Numeracy · Uncategorized · 32 Comments

Now that you are finishing off your design booklet, I’d like you to think about how you found the activity.

Did you like working through the booklet yourself?

What did you think of the activities:

  • did they make you think about the Maths involved?
  • did they stretch your understanding of the Maths involved?
  • were they open-ended ?
  • did you enjoy the freedom of creating your own answers?
  • would you like some work like this again?

Please think about what you learnt from this booklet and respond.
